From October 30th to November 5th, 2016, the World Rafting Championships took place in Al Ain at the magnificent Wadi Adventure artificial park. 27 countries brought together nearly 90 teams with the help of the IRF ( International Rafting Federation ) to compete in all men's and women's categories.
While the event featured a wide variety of competitions, the IRF's main goal was to demonstrate that rafting has the potential to become an Olympic sport. By utilizing the increasingly common artificial rivers found around the world, the sport has every chance of success.
We are proud to be part of this adventure by collaborating with Wadi Adventure and the members of the IRF who selected our Avanti 380 Raft to accompany the challengers to the podium steps.
Now, see you in 2017 for the next edition, which should take place in Japan! We hope that the French will also be there to lend a hand.
