DESCRIPTION, MATERIALS & ADVICE

LEARN MORE

Designed for rafting professionals, outdoor centers, and demanding adventurers, the RIO 2-Person inflatable canoe stands out for its exceptional strength and rigidity. Its 1100 DTEX PVC fabric construction and high-pressure drop-stitch floor provide resistance and performance comparable to a rigid model, while maintaining the lightness and maneuverability of an inflatable.

Its removable cylindrical thwarts allow for quick installation and precise seat position adjustment. This configuration offers a low and stable seat, ideal for technical sections and sporty descents. Thanks to its XXL front and rear rocker, the RIO glides over waves and clears obstacles with ease.

Equipped with a retractable sock self-bailing system, it adapts to all environments: open for rapids to drain water, closed for dry paddling in calm waters. The 5 Aquadesign RC valves ensure simple and reliable inflation, guaranteeing maximum safety.

Measuring 385 cm long, 108 cm wide, and weighing 22.5 kg, it combines robustness, spaciousness, and maneuverability. Its 310 kg load capacity makes it a perfect model for two people and their gear, ideal for sporty descents, expeditions, or guided outings.

✔️ High-pressure drop-stitch base for maximum rigidity
✔️ Removable cylindrical shank thwarts for adjustable comfort
✔️ Ultra-resistant 1100 DTEX PVC, resistant to abrasion and impacts
✔️ Retractable self-bailing sock to adapt to conditions
✔️ XXL front/rear rockers for smooth and stable navigation

A well-maintained PVC canoe or kayak will provide you with many years of safe adventures. To preserve its performance, watertightness, and durability, adopt these best practices.

• Rinse after each outing

After each use, rinse your boat thoroughly with clean water.
✔️ Remove sand, mud and debris to prevent premature wear of the PVC fabric.
✔️ Use a soft sponge to avoid scratching the coating or damaging the glued areas.

• Dry completely before storing

✔️ Never store your canoe or kayak while it is still wet.
✔️ Let it dry completely in the shade: prolonged exposure to the sun accelerates the aging of the material.
✔️ Ensure that all chambers and the bottom are completely dry to prevent mold and bad odors.

• Suitable storage

Store your boat in a dry, ventilated place, protected from extreme temperature variations.
✔️ Avoid any proximity to heat sources (radiator, engine, flame).
✔️ Protect it from rodents, insects and sharp objects.

• Pressure and inflation

Always respect the recommended inflation pressure (generally around 2.5 PSI, unless otherwise indicated by the manufacturer).
✔️ Overinflation can weaken the seams and valves.
✔️ In warm weather, slightly reduce the pressure to compensate for air expansion.

• Preventive maintenance

✔️ Regularly inspect valves, seams and bonding areas.
✔️ Immediately repair any micro-perforations using a repair kit suitable for PVC.
