To ensure optimal hygiene and preserve the quality of CurTec polyethylene or polypropylene drums, it is recommended to use a cleaning system equipped with spray heads or an ultrasonic cleaner. Choose a low-foaming alkaline detergent with a pH between 10 and 12 in solution.
The wash water must be maintained between 40°C and 50°C, and the rinse water must not exceed 65°C. At these temperatures, the cleaning phase must not exceed 35 seconds and the rinsing 20 seconds, in order to avoid any risk of cracking due to an excessive rise in the temperature of the plastic material.
Drying can be accelerated with cold air. If hot air is used, limit the duration to a maximum of 30 seconds, at a temperature not exceeding 65°C. Finally, ensure that the drying equipment is well-suited to the shape of the product to effectively reach all areas, including those that are difficult to access.
If needed, CurTec can direct you to manufacturers or suppliers of suitable equipment.
